Activate your HBO Max subscription

Already activated?

If you already activated your HBO Max subscription, you can sign in with your HBO Max email and password. You only need to activate HBO Max once.

New subscription? If you recently signed up for HBO Max (or HBO) through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, you need to activate HBO Max before you can start streaming HBO Max.

Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Activate HBO Max

When you sign up through an internet, mobile, or TV provider, your provider will give you instructions on how to activate HBO Max. If you don't have activation instructions, choose your provider below or contact them for help activating HBO Max. (Your provider is who you signed up for HBO Max through).

Unitel

To set up your HBO Max access, do the following:

Open the Unitel app and choose HBO Max.
Choose the Standard or Premium plan.
Choose Activate HBO Max.

Now, you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any supported device.

Step 2: Set up your account

On the first HBO Max screen, enter an email address for your HBO Max account (or if you already have an account, enter the email associated with your account).
Do one of the following:
- New subscribers: Complete the account form and choose Create Account. You'll sign in with this info.
- Former subscribers: Enter your password and choose Sign In.
Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to stream.

Now, you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any supported device.

Troubleshooting

'Please check your account info' message

If you get this message, here are some things to try:

Make sure that HBO Max is included with your Univision subscription.

If none of these help, please contact Univision for support.

'Check your email and password' message

If you get this message, there may already be an HBO Max account with the email address you entered. Go back and enter your email address on the Welcome to HBO Max screen and choose Continue (then sign in to this account).
