How do I purchase the HBO Max Standard with Ads Upgrade?

You can purchase the Standard with Ads Upgrade directly through us (Discovery Communications Benelux, B.V.). Here's how:

1. In HBO Max, do one of the following:
   • Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose your profile and then Subscription.
   • TV device: Choose Get Access on the movie you'd like to watch, then scan the QR code.
2. Choose Standard with Ads Upgrade, then continue.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your purchase.
4. Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch on HBO Max.

Now you can sign in and stream titles on the HBO Max Standard with Ads Upgrade on HBOMax.com or the HBO Max app on any supported device. If you remove your Standard with Ads upgrade before renewal, you will have access until the end of your current Standard with Ads upgrade billing period. If you cancel your Basic with Ads plan through your provider, you will have access to your Basic with Ads plan and Standard with Ads upgrade until the end of your current Basic with Ads plan billing period.

How do I remove the HBO Max Standard with Ads Upgrade?

Here's how to remove the HBO Max Standard with Ads Upgrade:

1. Go to HBOMax.com/subscription and sign in (if needed). Can't sign in?
2. Choose Remove Standard with Ads Upgrade.
3. Confirm your cancellation and take note of your expiration date.

You can stream until your subscription for the HBO Max Standard with Ads Upgrade expires at the end of your Standard with Ads Upgrade billing period. If you cancel your Basic with Ads plan through your provider, you will have access to your Basic with Ads plan and Standard with Ads Upgrade until the end of your current Basic with Ads plan billing period. You will receive a refund for any unused days in your Standard with Ads Upgrade.
