HBO Max Withdrawal rights

If you are within the EEA and purchase a Subscription, Bundle, or Add-On, you have a legal right to withdraw from your Subscription agreement with us within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. The withdrawal period will expire 14 days from the day of conclusion of the contract.

After this period, you can cancel your subscription via your Account settings, and you will have access until the end of your current billing period.

Additional rights of cancellation exist in Norway, Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands. Information on those additional rights is available here.

Instructions on how to exercise this right, the consequences of exercising this right (including details of any amounts owed to us for the period from the beginning of your contract up to and including the day prior to your exercise of your right of withdrawal) and a model form that you can use are set out below.

To exercise this right, you must inform Discovery Communications Benelux B.V., HBO Nordic AB, or HBO Europe s.r.o (as applicable, depending on your Home Country) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

If you purchased your Subscription from a third party other than HBO Max (such as an app store), you should contact the app store.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery if applicable (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

As you requested that we begin your subscription during the withdrawal period, you will be charged for the proportion of your contract that you have already received as of the date you communicate your withdrawal to us, in comparison to the full duration of the contract (that is, a pro rata refund of the balance of your subscription as a proportion of the relevant billing period from the date you withdraw).
