Install HBO Max on supported devices

You can stream HBO Max on phones, tablets, computers, TVs, streaming players, and game consoles.

To start streaming today, install the HBO Max app or go to HBOMax.com on your computer.

Streaming via Samsung TV

If HBO Max isn't available in your TV app store, you can sign up and stream via Prime Video Channels or use a supported device, including Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, PlayStation, or Xbox. Most Android phones and tablets (with Android OS 7.1 or later)

Install: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Store and search for HBO Max. Choose HBO Max and then the download option.

Installing HBO Max from somewhere other than the official Google Play app store is not supported.

Update: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Play Store and search for HBO Max. If an update is available, choose Update.

The HBO Max mobile app is not currently supported on Google Chromebooks. To stream on Google Chromebooks, go to HBOMax.com with the Chrome browser.

Subscribe or sign in

Once you have the HBO Max app installed, do one of the following:

New subscriber? Open HBO Max and choose Subscribe Now.
Have an HBO Max account? Open HBO Max and choose Sign In (if your subscription has expired, you'll be prompted to renew your subscription).

Need help signing in? Go to Can't sign in.

Choose a supported device for install and update steps:

Android TV devices with Android TV OS 7.1 or later
This includes Smart TVs with Android TV built-in (e.g. most Sony Android TVs, 2015 models and later) and Chromecast with Google TV.

Install: On your Android TV, open the Play Store and search for HBO Max. Choose HBO Max and then choose Install.

The HBO Max app is supported on Google Play and Dolby certified devices installed from the official Google Play app store. Installing HBO Max from somewhere other than the official Google Play app store is not supported.

Update: On your Android TV, highlight the HBO Max app, then press and hold the Select button, and choose View Details > Update.

LG Smart TV and CineBeam with webOS 3.5 or later

Install: On your LG TV or CineBeam, open the LG Content Store and search for HBO Max. Choose HBO Max and then Install.

Update: On your LG TV or CineBeam, choose LG Content Store > Apps > My Apps, then select HBO Max and choose Update.

If HBO Max isn't in the LG content store, your LG TV or CineBeam may not be supported.
