What is the bundle?

When you subscribe to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle, you can sign in to both apps and stream each service on a supported device.

The HBO Max & Viu Bundle includes:

  • The HBO Max Standard plan and the Viu Premium plan

Bundle pricing varies by country and region. For bundle prices, go to HBOMax.com/bundle/Viu.

The bundle billing period varies by region:

  • Singapore: HBO Max & Viu Bundle subscribers can choose monthly or yearly billing.
  • Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Philippines: The HBO Max & Viu Bundle is only available with monthly billing.

What content can I watch?

You can stream all content available with the HBO Max Standard plan and the Viu Premium plan.

No, each app has its own content offering. You can stream all content available with the subscription plan you choose. Sign in to the app you want to stream to find content available on that app.

Sign up on the web

You can sign up for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle on the web through HBO Max or Viu.

Here's how to sign up for the bundle at HBOMax.com:

  1. Go to HBOMax.com/bundle/Viu and choose Get The Bundle.
  2. Enter the email address or mobile number (if available) for your HBO Max account and continue.
  3. Complete the account form and choose Create Account.
    Looks like you have an existing subscription message.
  4. Verify mobile number: If you're creating an account with your mobile number, enter the 6-digit code sent to your mobile number.
  5. Add your payment method and start your subscription.
  6. Choose Set up Viu to set up your Viu account.

Singapore subscribers: If you're 21 or older, you'll be prompted to add a Profile PIN to your HBO Max account. This PIN is required to access R21 content. For more info, go to HBO Max Profile PIN.

Now you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any plan-supported device. After you sign up for the bundle, you'll be charged the full price of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle even if you haven't activated both accounts. Your subscription will auto-renew monthly until you cancel.

You can also sign in to the Viu app using the account you set up above. If you haven't set up your Viu account, go to Activate my accounts and choose Signed up at HBOMax.com.

You can sign up for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle on the web through HBO Max or Viu.

Here's how to sign up for the bundle at HBOMax.com:

  1. Go to HBOMax.com/bundle/Viu and choose Get The Bundle.
  2. Enter your email address or mobile number (if available) and continue.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Enter your HBO Max password and choose Sign In.
    • Enter the 6-digit code that we texted to your mobile number.
  4. Add your payment method and start your subscription.
  5. Choose Set up Viu to set up your Viu account.

Singapore subscribers: If you're 21 or older, you'll be prompted to add a Profile PIN to your HBO Max account. This PIN is required to access R21 content. For more info, go to HBO Max Profile PIN.

You may need to activate your HBO Max or Viu account before you can start streaming. How you activate depends on how you signed up.

How did you sign up for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle?

If you signed up for the bundle at HBOMax.com, your HBO Max account is already activated.

Here's how to activate your Viu account:

  1. Sign in to HBO Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
  2. Choose your profile and then Subscription.
    (Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)
  3. Choose Set up Viu to set up your Viu account.

Signed up via Viu

If you signed up for the Bundle through Viu, your Viu account is already activated.

Here's how to activate your HBO Max account:

  1. On your phone or computer, sign in to Viu and go to your profile.
  2. Choose Connect HBO Max.
  3. On the first HBO Max screen, enter an email address or mobile number for your HBO Max account and choose Continue.
  4. Get the 6-character code from the text message or email sent by HBO Max (email subject: Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code). The message should arrive within a few minutes.
  5. Enter the 6-character code from the text message or email. If prompted, fill out the account creation form and choose Create account. Code not working?
  6. Enter a password and choose Continue.
  7. Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch HBO Max.

If you don't activate your HBO Max account when you sign up for the bundle, Viu will send you a reminder email with activation steps.

How do I switch from my current subscription to the bundle?

  • You can sign up for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle only on the web directly through HBO Max or Viu. You can manage your subscription at any time.
  • If you don't want multiple subscriptions, make sure to manage any existing subscriptions.
  • The HBO Max Mobile plan and Premium plan are not available as part of the HBO Max & Viu Bundle.
If you subscribe only to HBO Max

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Web: Go to HBOMax.com/subscription and sign in to your account. Can't sign in?
    • Phone, tablet, or computer: In HBO Max, choose your profile and then Subscription.
    • TV device: In HBO Max, choose the Settings icon (cog, lower left) and then Subscription.
  2. Find who your subscription is billed through (top of screen).

Choose who bills you for HBO Max and follow the instructions to change your plan:

HBO Max (WarnerMedia Direct Asia Pacific or HBO Singapore)

Here's how to change your HBO Max plan to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle:

  1. Sign in to HBO Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
  2. Choose your profile and then Subscription.
    (Only Adult profiles can manage subscriptions.)
  3. Choose Change Your Plan.
  4. On the Bundles tab, choose Get the Bundle and continue.
  5. Review your plan change and choose Confirm & Pay Now.
  6. Choose Set up Viu to set up your Viu account.

The plan change takes effect immediately and your next billing date will be adjusted. You'll be charged for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle (inclusive of applicable taxes) and WarnerMedia Asia Pacific (or HBO Singapore) will issue you a refund for the time that remains on your previous subscription.

Multiple subscriptions

You can sign up for the HBO Max & Viu Bundle on the web directly through HBO Max or Viu. To switch to the bundle, manage your existing app store subscription. You can manage your subscription at any time.

First, manage your HBO Max subscription or your Viu subscription (sign in at viu.com/account). You can manage your subscription at any time.

Note Your new subscription will not automatically replace your existing subscription. If you don't want multiple subscriptions, you can go back and select a new plan or manage your account at the place of your original purchase.

Troubleshooting

Can't sign in after subscribing?

If you can't sign in to HBO Max or Viu after subscribing to the HBO Max & Viu Bundle, your account may not be activated. How you activate depends on how you signed up.

How did you sign up for the bundle?

If you signed up for the bundle at HBOMax.com, your HBO Max account is already activated.

Here's how to activate your Viu account:

  1. Sign in to HBO Max on your phone, tablet, or computer. Can't sign in?
  2. Choose your profile and then Subscription.

  3. Choose Set up Viu to set up your Viu account.

Signed up via Viu

If you signed up for the bundle through Viu, your Viu account is already activated.

Here's how to activate your HBO Max account:

  1. On your phone or computer, sign in to Viu and go to your profile.
  2. Choose Connect HBO Max.

Looks like you have an existing HBO Max subscription message

If you get this message, you can choose from 2 options:

  • Continue to Purchase: If you complete your bundle purchase, your new bundle subscription will not automatically replace your existing HBO Max subscription. If you don't want multiple subscriptions, you can select a new plan or manage your HBO Max subscription.
  • Go Back to HBO Max: This option takes you back to your active subscription. To sign up for the bundle, first manage your active HBO Max subscription.
One-Time Code not working?

If your one-time code isn't working, get a new code. Here's how:

  1. On the Enter the One-Time Code screen, choose Get New Code.
  2. Open the most recent One-Time Code email and grab the new code.
  3. Enter the 6-character code from your email and choose Submit Code.
  4. Enter a password and continue.
  5. Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to watch HBO Max.

If this step doesn't work, here are a few more things to try:

  • Search all of your email accounts for an email from HBO Max.
  • Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam).

Once you find the email account associated with HBO Max emails, get a new code and check this email address.
