Activate HBO Max with Sky

If you've already activated HBO Max, you can sign in with your existing HBO Max email and password. You only need to activate HBO Max once.

Not yet activated? If you have the Sky Ultimate package that includes HBO Max Basic with Ads or a subscription to TNT Sports, you need to activate HBO Max and create an account before you can start streaming (using the HBO Max app or on HBOMax.com).

How do I know if HBO Max is included with my Sky subscription?

HBO Max Basic with Ads is available with the Sky Ultimate package. To check your package, go to Sky Subscription Management on your Sky device or visit sky.com/shop.

How do I activate HBO Max Basic with Ads on my Sky device?

You can activate any HBO Max plan purchased through Skydirectly from your Sky device.

Note Make sure you're signed out from any HBO Max account on your Sky device before you start the activation process.

Here's how to activate:

On your Sky home screen, choose HBO Max and choose to activate on TV or web.
On the Welcome screen, choose Get Started.
Enter a new email address or the existing email address associated with your HBO Max account.
Note If you subscribed to HBO Max via Sky in another country or region, you'll need to enter a new email address.
If prompted, do one of the following:

New subscribers: Complete the account form and choose Create Account.
Returning subscribers: Check your inbox for an email sent by HBO Max (email subject: Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code) and enter the 6-digit code from your email. This email should arrive within a few minutes. Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam).

Choose Start Streaming and you're ready to go!

You can now sign in to HBO Max on any supported device using your HBO Max account.

I'm a TNT Sports subscriber through Sky. How do I access TNT Sports on HBO Max?

TNT Sports content is now on HBO Max. If you subscribe to TNT Sports through Sky, here's what you need to know:

Your TNT Sports subscription continues on HBO Max.
Download the HBO Max app on your Sky device and activate HBO Max through Sky.
If you were previously signed in on TNT Sports through discovery+, your account info may carry over automatically. If not, try the activation flow above.
discovery+ entertainment content continues to be available in the discovery+ app.

Can I watch HBO Max on other devices?

Once you activate HBO Max through Sky, you can sign in and stream HBO Max on any supported device using your HBO Max email and password.

How do I change my HBO Max plan?

You can change your HBO Max plan by going to sky.com/myaccount and managing your subscription through Sky.
