Things to know about Multiview:
- Multiview: To watch more action on one screen, choose a pre-set Multiview stream.
- Supported devices: Multiview is available on phones, tablets, computers, and TV devices.
- Change focus: Use the directional buttons on your TV remote (or computer keyboard) to switch between views.
- Audio: By default, audio plays for the top-left view.
- Computer and TV device: When you change the focus, the audio changes to the focused view.
- Phone and tablet: Open the Audio and Subtitles menu and choose one of the available options.
- Full screen: Switch the focus to the view you want to expand, then press the select button on your TV remote (Enter on your computer keyboard) to enter Full screen. To return to the Multiview stream, press the back button. Expanding Multiview to full screen is not available on phones and tablets.
- Captions: Captions appear at the bottom of the screen for the focused view. To turn captions on or off, enter Full screen, choose the Audio and Subtitles icon, then choose English - CC or Off. For more info, go to Subtitles, captions, and audio.
Captions are not available in Multiview on phones and tablets.
If you can't see captions while watching in Multiview, try updating your HBO Max app to the latest version. For help, go to Install HBO Max on supported devices and choose your device.
