Live soccer on HBO Max
Men's and women's US national team soccer games are coming to HBO Max throughout 2023. Live soccer is included with both HBO Max subscription plans (Ad-Free and With Ads) and is available on all supported devices.

What games can I watch?
Starting on January 17, 2023, a selection of men's and women's US national team games will be available on HBO Max. In the days leading up to the game, the national team game will be featured on the HBO Max Home screen.
FIFA Women's World Cup games will not be available on HBO Max.
How do I watch a game?
To watch the livestream, choose the game on the Home screen. When a game is in progress, 'Live' appears in the top-left corner of the tile. Select the game to start watching the livestream in progress.
If a game hasn't started yet, you'll see a 'Live event has not started yet' message. Stay on this screen and the game will automatically start when the live stream begins.
After the livestream, you can watch a replay of the entire game on HBO Max. To do this, go to the Sports genre or search for 'soccer' in HBO Max.
Supported devices
Live soccer games can be streamed on any supported device. You can also use Chromecast, AirPlay, or an HDMI cable to stream live soccer from your phone or tablet to your TV.Playback controls
When you're watching the livestream, 'Live' appears in the bottom-left corner of your screen. Playback controls such as fast forward, rewind, and restart are not available during a livestream.
If playback is paused for any reason, the Play button will rejoin the livestream (instead of continuing where you left off).
Closed captions
Live soccer on HBO Max is available with real-time closed captioning. To find out how to turn on closed captions, see Subtitles, captions, and audio.
Download games
US national team games can't be downloaded for offline viewing, however, you can stream games on any supported device.
Why can’t I watch live soccer?

The game is not scheduled to appear on HBO Max

You’re located outside of the US
The US national team games are only available on HBO Max in the US.
