Sign in through YouTube TV

You can add HBO Max to your YouTube TV membership and stream all of HBO Max using the HBO Max app. To learn more, see YouTube's Add extra channels article. To subscribe through YouTube TV, go to tv.youtube.com.

Once you add HBO Max, you can stream all of HBO Max using the HBO Max app and stream all of HBO using the YouTube TV app.

Stream all of HBO Max

If you subscribe to HBO Max through YouTube TV, you can stream all of HBO Max using the HBO Max app. To do this, sign in to HBO Max using your YouTube TV account. Here's how:

Download the HBO Max app on a supported device.
Open HBO Max and choose Sign In.
Choose Sign in with a Provider (see complete sign-in steps).
Choose YouTube TV.
Select the account associated with your YouTube TV membership and then choose Allow.

Stream HBO

If you subscribe to HBO Max through YouTube TV, you can stream HBO using the YouTube TV app. Here's how:

Download the YouTube TV app on a supported device.
Open YouTube TV and sign in to your account. Need help? See Watch YouTube TV on your TV.

You can watch live HBO channels and on-demand HBO shows and movies using the YouTube TV app. Additional content, such as Max Originals and other classic TV favorites, are only available via the HBO Max app. To learn more about this, see YouTube's Add extra channels article.

Can't sign in to HBO Max

If you're having trouble signing in to HBO Max:

Make sure you can sign in to your YouTube TV account and stream HBO using the YouTube TV app.
Make sure HBO Max is part of your YouTube TV membership. To do this, go to tv.youtube.com and sign in to your account. Then, choose your profile picture, then Settings and Membership.
If you have a family group on YouTube TV, you need to sign in to HBO Max using the family manager's credentials.

Can't verify your subscription message

If you get this message when signing in, see the previous section (Can't sign in).

If you get this message when you play a show or movie, try signing out and then back in again. Here's how:

Sign out of HBO Max:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon , and then scroll down and tap Sign Out.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right) and then choose Sign Out.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon , then scroll right and choose Sign Out, then choose the Sign Out button.
Sign back in again.

Manage your HBO Max subscription
