HBO Max Ad-Free monthly plan price change
The price of the HBO Max Ad-Free monthly plan is increasing by $1 to $15.99/month (plus applicable taxes). Pricing for all other subscription plans, including the Ad-Free yearly plan, will remain the same.
When will this happen?
When the Ad-Free monthly price change happens varies by provider:
Subscribe through us or an app store
If you subscribe through us or an app store, your monthly HBO Max Ad-Free subscription will automatically renew at $15.99/month (plus applicable taxes) on your first billing date on or after February 11, 2023. If you have a promotional discount, your price won't increase until your promotional period ends.
- Save more than 20%: Switch to the yearly Ad-Free subscription plan at $149.99/year (or about $12.50/month plus taxes).
- Save $6 a month: Switch to the With Ads subscription plan at $9.99/month (plus applicable taxes).
Subscribe through a provider
If you subscribe through a TV, mobile, or wireless provider, your provider will inform you of any planned increase (as applicable) to your monthly HBO Max Ad-Free subscription plan.

Depending on your provider, you may be able to switch your subscription plan. If your provider supports plans, you can:
- Switch to yearly billing: Save more than 20% by switching to the yearly Ad-Free subscription plan at $149.99/year (or about $12.50/month).
- Switch to the With Ads plan: Save $6 a month by switching to the With Ads subscription plan at $9.99/month.
