Forgot my HBO Max password

If you don't know your HBO Max account password, you can reset it (see below) or change your password in Settings. To do this you'll need to have access to your account email address.

Can't Access Account Email?

If you don't have access to the email associated with your HBO Max account, please contact us.

Which device are you using?

Here's how to reset your password:

  1. Open HBO Max and then tap the Profile icon (person, upper right).
  2. Then, tap Sign in to your account.
  3. Tap Forgot password?
  4. Enter your account email and then choose Submit. Forgot your account email?
  5. Check your inbox for a 'Reset Your HBO Max Password' email sent by HBO Max. This email should arrive within a few minutes.
    No Reset Password Email?
    This means the email you entered isn't in use by an account. Do you have another email address? Repeat these steps for each of your email addresses.
  6. Open the 'Reset Your HBO Max Password' email and choose Reset Password.
  7. Enter a new password and then choose Save Password.

'Please check your account info' message

Make sure your TV package, internet service, or wireless plan includes access to HBO Max. To do this, see Check your account info.

  1. Go to HBOMax.com and choose Sign In (upper right).
  2. Choose Forgot password?
  3. Enter your account email and then choose Submit. Forgot your account email?
