How do I switch subscription plans?
HBO Max subscriptions are available through many providers (your provider is who you signed up through or who bills you for HBO Max). Some providers offer the following plans:
- Standard
- Mobile

Which plan do I have?
Here's how to find out which subscription plan you have:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can’t sign in?
Note If you subscribe to the Mobile plan, open HBO Max on your phone or tablet. - Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription. (Subscription information is only available for Adult profiles).
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
- Here you'll find your current plan (Standard or Mobile) and billing period (1, 3, or 12 months).
How do I switch plans?
Depending on your provider, you may be able to switch your subscription plan. Here's how:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can’t sign in?
Note If you subscribe to the Mobile plan, open HBO Max on your phone or tablet. - Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
(Subscription information is only available for Adult profiles).

- Take note of who your subscription is billed through and choose them below:
- WarnerMedia Direct Latin America, LLC: How do I change plans?
- Apple iTunes and App Store: How do I change plans?
- Google Play: How do I change plans?
- Roku: How do I change plans?
- Samsung TV: You can cancel your subscription through Samsung TV, wait for your subscription to expire, then when you resubscribe you can choose a different plan.
- TV provider: Contact your TV provider to make changes to your subscription plan.

'Can't switch plans yet' message
This message may appear if:
- You tried to make two back-to-back plan changes.
- Our plan service is offline.
Please wait 15 minutes and then try to switch your plan again.
