New hit movies and episodes are added throughout the year. And of course, older episodes are available for bingeing.
To see what's new, open the Browse menu and then choose Just Added. You can also open the Browse menu, and then choose Series or Movies and then choose Just Added from the horizontal menu.
Yes. Hubs allow you to browse shows and movies from a single brand, e.g. HBO or DC.
To see the HBO Max Hubs:
- On the Home screen, scroll down to the Hubs row.
- TV: Scroll left and choose the Hubs icon .
- Phone, tablet, or computer: Choose the Menu icon and then scroll down to the Hubs (bottom of menu).
You can also search for shows and movies from a single brand or Hub. For example, you can search for 'Warner Bros' to see shows and movies from the Warner Bros.
Most new HBO shows and movies are available on HBO Max when they premiere on HBO. HBO's live shows and events require time to be prepared for HBO Max. Such content is normally available within 24 hours of the original broadcast.
Max Originals are original series and movies produced for HBO Max. To browse Max Originals, open the Browse menu and then choose Originals. You can also choose the Search icon and type 'Max Originals.'
Yes, you can download shows and movies to watch later when you're offline. This way you can watch HBO Max when you don't have a network connection. Most everything can be downloaded. To learn more, see Download shows and movies.
To see shows and movies from your region, open the Browse menu and then choose Local Productions.
To see shows and movies from other countries, open the Browse menu and then choose International. The International genre includes titles from other countries, including the acclaimed original series from HBO Latin America, HBO Asia, and HBO North America.
Some movies and shows are available for a limited time only. We aim to provide the most robust offerings and will continue to bring high-quality programs to our streaming platform.

Yes. To see what we have for kids, go to Kids & Family or in the HBO Max app open the Browse menu and then choose Kids & Family. In the Kids & Family section, you can browse by age group (Ages 2-5, 6-9, 10-12, and 13+), Just Added, Animation, or browse by Characters.
Ratings provide guidance about the age-appropriateness of episodes and movies on HBO Max. The maturity rating for an episode or movie appears:
- On the details page for an episode or movie.
- In the upper-left corner when you first start playing an episode or movie.

No. HBO Max doesn't currently offer pay-per-view shows or events.
