What's only available with the Ad-Free plan?
- Downloads. You can download shows and movies to watch when you're offline.
- Stream outside the US. You can stream when traveling to other countries with HBO Max.
When you subscribe at HBOMax.com or through an app store, you can choose a subscription plan (With Ads or Ad-Free) and monthly or yearly billing. To find out how to subscribe, choose a provider below:

Here's how to find your subscription plan:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can't sign in?
- Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Web: Sign in at HBOMax.com/account.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
(Subscription information is only available for Adult profiles).
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
- Here you'll find your current plan (Ad-Free or With Ads) and billing period (Monthly or Yearly).
Depending on your provider, you may be able to change your subscription plan. Here's how:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can’t sign in?
- Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.

- Take note of who your subscription is billed through and choose them below:
- Warner Media Direct, LLC: How do I change plans?
- Amazon Appstore: How do I change plans?
- Apple iTunes and App Store: How do I change plans?
- Google Play: How do I change plans?
- Roku: How do I change plans?
- Samsung TV: You can cancel your subscription through Samsung TV, wait for your subscription to expire, then when you resubscribe you can choose a different plan.
- Xfinity: Contact Xfinity or sign in to your Xfinity account at xfinity.com/buy/plan/myplan and then choose Manage Channels.
