Stream on your TV using an HDMI cable
You can connect a supported device (computer, phone, or tablet) to your TV using an HDMI cable and watch HBO Max on a big screen.
What you need
Here's what you need to stream on your TV using an HDMI cable:
- An HDMI 2.0+ cable and possibly an adapter if connecting a phone or tablet
- An HDTV that supports HDCP 2.1+
- A phone, tablet, or computer with HDMI 2.0+ out capability
To enjoy HD-quality video, the HDMI cable and TV must be HDCP 2.1+ compliant.
Connect an iPhone, iPad, or Mac
Use an Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter to connect your iPhone or iPad to your TV, or an Apple USB-C Digital AV Adapter to connect your Mac or iPad Pro with a USB-C port to your TV. To connect wirelessly, use AirPlay.
