HBO Max Standard and Mobile plans
HBO Max subscriptions are available through many providers (your provider is who you subscribe through or who bills you for HBO Max). To subscribe, see How do I get HBO Max?
Standard plan
- Watch in HD, with select movies in 4K UHD
- Stream on up to 3 screens (phone, tablet, TV, or computer)
- Download up to 30 titles
Mobile plan (not available to new or returning subscribers)
- Stream on your phone or tablet (casting to your TV is not supported)
- Watch in SD
- Download up to 5 titles

What's the same?
Both plans have the same great content:
- All of your HBO favorites
- Unlimited content
- 13,000+ hours of series, movies, and new exclusive programming (Max Originals)
- A robust selection of acquired series and movies
Depending on your provider, you may be able to change your billing period or switch from the Mobile to the Standard plan.
Note If you switch to the Standard plan, you won't be able to switch back to the Mobile plan.
Here's how:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can’t sign in?
Note If you subscribe to the Mobile plan, open HBO Max on your phone or tablet. - Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
and then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
Subscription information is only available with Adult profiles.
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
- Take note of who your subscription is billed through and choose them below:
- WarnerMedia Direct Latin America, LLC: How do I change plans?
- Apple iTunes and App Store: How do I change plans?
- Google Play: How do I change plans?
- Roku: How do I change plans?
- Samsung TV: You can cancel your subscription through Samsung TV, wait for your subscription to expire, then when you resubscribe you can choose a different plan.
- TV provider: Contact your TV provider to make changes to your subscription plan.
This message may appear if:
- You tried to make two back-to-back plan changes.
- Our plan service is offline.
Please wait 15 minutes and then try to switch your plan again.
Here's how to find your subscription plan:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can't sign in?
- Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Web: Sign in at HBOMax.com/account.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
(Subscription information is only available for Adult profiles).
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
- Here you'll find your current plan (Standard or Mobile) and billing period (1, 3, or 12 months).
Note The Mobile plan and 12-month billing are no longer available to new and returning subscribers.
