Change an HBO Max subscription
HBO Max subscriptions are available through many providers, and the steps for changing your subscription vary by provider. If you know who bills you, skip to Step 2.

Step 1: Find who bills you
You can find out who bills you in Settings. Open HBO Max or go to HBOMax.com and then:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), then the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon
, then choose Account.
Here you'll find who your subscription is billed through. (Subscription information is only available with Adult profiles.)
You can also review your bank statement for an HBO Max subscription charge or ask your TV provider if they bill you for HBO Max.
Step 2: Change your subscription
Choose who bills you for HBO Max to find out how to change your subscription.
Sign in to your provider's website, go to their Help Center, or contact them.
Here's how to change your subscription:
- Open the HBO Max app and then tap your profile (upper right). Need sign in help?
- Tap the Settings icon
and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Tap Manage Subscription.
Manage Subscription isn't available? Take note of who your subscription is billed through and find them above. - Here you can switch plans (current Mobile plan subscribers only) or billing periods, edit your payment method, or cancel your subscription.

- Go to HBOMax.com and sign in (if needed). Need sign in help?
- Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
- Choose Manage Subscription.
