Change HBO Max payment method
HBO Max subscriptions are available through many providers. How you change your payment method varies depending on who bills you for HBO Max.
To find your billing provider, do the following:
- Open HBO Max or sign in to HBOMax.com on your computer. Can't sign in?
- Do one of the following:
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
, and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Web: Sign in at HBOMax.com/account.
- Computer: Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
- TV device: Choose the Settings icon (lower left) and then choose Account.
(Subscription information is only available with Adult profiles.)
- Phone or tablet: Tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon
- Here you'll find who your subscription is billed through.
- To find out how to change your payment method, find your provider below.
You can also review your bank statement for an HBO Max subscription charge. (If your subscription is part of a TV package or wireless plan, you may not see an individual charge for HBO Max.)
Change your payment method
If you're billed through us (WarnerMedia), here's how to change your payment method:
On your phone or tablet, do the following:
- Open HBO Max and then tap your profile icon (upper right). Can't sign in?
- Tap the Settings icon
and then tap or scroll to Subscription.
- Tap Manage Subscription.
If you don't have a Manage Subscription option, take note of who your subscription is billed through and find them in the Third-party billing section below. - Tap Edit Payment Method.
- Add your payment info and choose Save Changes. Your updated payment info will be used for your next subscription charge.
On your phone or computer, do the following:
- Go to HBOMax.com/account and sign in. Can't sign in?
- Choose Edit Payment Method.
If you don't have an Edit Payment Method button, take note of who your subscription is billed through and find them in the Third-party billing section below. - Add your payment info and choose Save Changes. Your updated payment info will be used for your next subscription charge.
On your computer, do the following:
- Go to HBOMax.com on your computer and sign in (if needed). Can't sign in?
- Choose your profile (upper right), then choose Settings, and find Subscription.
- Choose Manage Subscription. If you don't have a Manage Subscription option, take note of who your subscription is billed through and find them in the Third-party billing section below.
- Choose Edit Payment Method.
- Edit your payment info and choose Save. Your updated payment info will be used for your next subscription charge.
Third-party billing
To find out how to change your payment method, choose who bills you:

- Samsung TV: Sign in to your Samsung account at samsungcheckout.com.
- TV provider: Sign in to your TV provider's website, their Help Center, or contact your TV provider.
- Other provider: Sign in to your provider's website, go to your provider's Help Center, or contact your provider.
