Sign in with AT&T wireless or internet account
HBO Max is included with some AT&T wireless and internet plans. To find out which plans include HBO Max at no extra charge, see Which plans include HBO Max?
If HBO Max is included with your AT&T wireless or internet plan (or you previously subscribed to AT&T Watch TV), use the sign-in steps below.
Set up your plan for HBO Max
Before signing in to HBO Max, you might need to set up your plan for HBO Max.
Which AT&T plan do you have?
- Go to the myAT&T account page.
- Look for the Activate HBO Max tile.
- Choose Activate, if asked.
- Sign into HBO Max (choose your device below)

If you selected another Premium in the past 12 months, you may need to wait to change to HBO Max.
- Unlimited Choice
- Unlimited Choice II
- Unlimited Choice Enhanced
- Unlimited Plus
- Unlimited Plus Enhanced
If so, you may need to set up your plan for HBO Max. Here's how:
- Go to the myAT&T account page.
- Look for the Activate HBO Max tile.
- Choose Activate, if asked.
- Sign in to HBO Max (choose your device below).

Here's how you sign in on your phone or tablet:








- Open HBO Max and then tap the Profile icon

If you're already signed in, tap your profile (upper right), the Settings icon, and then scroll down and choose Sign Out.
- Tap Sign in to your account.
- Tap Sign in with a provider.
iPhone or iPadIf prompted, tap Don’t Allow when asked if HBO Max can use your TV provider subscription.
- Choose AT&T from the list of providers.
- Enter your AT&T user ID and password (for the AT&T account that includes access to HBO Max), and then choose Sign In. Can't sign in? Tap Forgot user ID? or Forgot password? If this doesn't help, see att.com/hbomaxhelp.
- Did you set up HBO Max for our plan?
- Make sure your AT&T account includes access to HBO Max. To do this, sign in to MyAT&T or the myAT&T app, then go to your account page, and find the HBO Max tile.
- If you still can't sign in, see att.com/hbomaxHelp.
- New to HBO Max? Edit your name and email as you'd like and then choose Create Account.
- Already have an HBO Max account? To keep your existing profiles and watch history, enter your existing HBO Max email address and then choose Create Account. Then, on the Account Found screen choose Verify Email Address. If you need help with this, see Account found: Verify email address.
- Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

Here's how you sign in on your computer:







- Go to HBOMax.com on your computer and choose Sign In (upper right).
If you're already signed in, choose your profile (upper right) and then choose Sign Out. - Choose Sign in with a Provider.
- Choose AT&T from the list of providers.
- Enter your AT&T user ID and password (for the AT&T account that includes access to HBO Max), and then choose Sign In. Can't sign in? Tap Forgot user ID? or Forgot password? If this doesn't help, see att.com/hbomaxhelp.
- Did you set up HBO Max for our plan?
- Make sure your AT&T account includes access to HBO Max. To do this, sign in to MyAT&T or the myAT&T app, then go to your account page, and find the HBO Max tile.

- New to HBO Max? Edit your name and email as you'd like and then choose Create Account.

- Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

On your TV:
- Open HBO Max, choose the Profile icon

Apple TVIf prompted, choose Don’t Allow when asked if HBO Max can use your TV provider subscription.
- Stay on the screen with the 6-character code while you grab your phone or computer to finish signing in.
- Open a web browser and go to: hbomax.com/activate.
- Enter the 6-character code from your TV and choose Next. Code not working?
- Choose AT&T as your provider.

Cox device, LG TV, Samsung TV, VIZIO Smart TV, Xbox, XClass TV, or Xfinity device
On your TV device:
- Open HBO Max, choose the Profile icon
, and then choose Sign In.
If you're already signed in, see How do I sign out? - Stay on the screen with the 6-character code while you grab your phone or computer to finish signing in.
- Open a web browser and go to: hbomax.com/activate.

Xbox console: You can use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on your TV. - Enter the 6-character code from your TV and choose Next. Code not working?

Troubleshooting
Here are some things to try:
- Enter the code from your TV at hbomax.com/activate on your computer instead of your phone (or vice versa).
- Try using a different web browser: Chrome, FireFox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
- Try clearing your browser data. Here's how:
- iPhone or iPad: On your iOS device, go to Settings > Safari, then scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data. To learn more, go to Clear Safari.
- Android phone: Try clearing your Chrome browsing data on your Android device. To find out how to do this, see Clear cache & cookies.
