Can't reset my HBO Max password
There are two ways to sign in depending on how you get HBO Max:
- Sign in through a TV, internet, mobile provider
- Sign in with your account email and password (see below)
Not getting a reset password email?
You should get a 'Reset Your HBO Max Password' email from HBO Max a few minutes after you reset your password.
If you don't get a reset password email, here are some possible reasons:
- Your account doesn't have a password. For example, if you get HBO Max as part of a TV package, then you sign in through your TV provider (instead of an HBO Max email and password). If you're having trouble signing in through a TV, internet, or mobile provider, see Can't sign in through a provider.
- Email not associated with an account. The email address you entered after choosing Forgot password is not in use by an HBO Max account. Do you have another email address? Try the forgot password steps again with another email address of yours. If you still don't get a reset password email, see Forgot account email.
Restore your app store purchase
If you signed up using the HBO Max app (on an Apple device, Android device, or Samsung TV), try restoring your subscription purchase.
Mistyped account email or no longer have access
If you no longer have access to the email associated with your HBO Max account or you mistyped your email when you created your account, please contact us.
