Change your name, email, or password

You can change your name, email, and password in account settings (you need to be signed in to do this).

Can't Sign In?
If you're having trouble signing in, please see Can't sign in through a provider or Can't sign in with email and password.

Here's how to view or change your account info:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Phone or tablet: Open HBO Max, tap the Profile icon, sign in (if needed), and then tap the Settings icon (upper-left).
    • Computer: Sign in at and then choose your Profile icon (upper-right).
  2. Choose Account (if Account isn't available, switch to an Adult profile). If the Password field says 'Add a Password,' then you're signed in through your provider account. To change the password for your provider account, refer to your provider's sign-in page or Help Center.
  3. Choose Edit.
  4. Enter your HBO Max password and choose OK.
  5. Edit your account info and then choose Save.
Email Already in Use
The email address that you entered is being used by another HBO Max or HBO NOW account. Please enter a different email address.
